He heard her, but he was hesitant to say anything. He continued to walk closer, making sure to not be noticed yet.

He stood there, in shock, not knowing what to do. He knew he felt the same way about her, but he was too afraid to tell her. He wanted to go over to her and say something, but his feet felt glued to the ground.
