Aaron sat in his office, staring blankly at a paper in his hands. He couldn't focus, his mind was elsewhere. He felt the absence of her presence, her warmth, her laughter. He clenched his jaw, frustrated with himself for letting things get this bad. He thought back to all the times he’d taken her for granted, never thinking he’d lose her one day.
She had grown colder, more distant and withdrawn, her once warm and inviting demeanor replaced with a stoic and guarded exterior. She no longer sought out his company, her once playful and affectionate nature replaced with a serious and reserved demeanor. She was now more focused on her duties as Luna, rather than their relationship.
Aaron sighed as he sat in his office. He felt a pang of guilt in his chest as he looked at the photo of him and Aria on his desk. "I messed up..." he mumbled to himself.
