You sat there, looking at the photo, your heart breaking into a million pieces. The image of your family, without you, laughing and enjoying Christmas together was a dagger to your chest. You clenched your fists, trying to hold back the tears that threatened to spill over.

You look at the photo again, seeing how happy they all looked. Nick sat in Margot's lap, Vicent stood behind them with a smile on his face.

You stayed at the hospital until it was very late. You then went home, opening the door to your empty house. You set your coat down and went to the living room, sitting down on the couch.
